Your Q3 Lodgement Dates for the Diary

Q3 Lodgement Dates

Bringing in the new year comes with  re-energised motivation to stay organised and plan for the year ahead. The first step to starting the year off right for your business is being aware and organised of your upcoming Q3 lodgement dates and  due payments.

Whilst the ATO gives some lenience over the summer holidays for your December obligations, it is important to be ready and get organised for the first lodgements and payments for the year.

Mark your calendars, set your reminders, be prepared for your Q3 lodgements

Planning for deadlines, lodgements and payments in advance means you can focus your time and attention on your business planning and goal setting for the year ahead. The ATO gives a little more time at the beginning of the year to action your December obligations, however this can become a trap for some business owners as they shift their focus to ‘bigger and better’ planning. Getting organised now can help you make a right start to the year and make your Q3 lodgements on time.

Single Touch Payroll (STP) Phase 2 is now mandatory, however check with your software provider whether you have an extension in place. It is important to check that your payroll software is compliant and if you need to look and upgrading to support growing payroll in your business. We can assist in finding a solution that is suited to your business and payroll needs.

Some tax return due dates fall within the first quarter of 2023 – talk to us if you’re unsure of your business entity’s tax return due date.

It’s good practice to plan for your lodgement dates, so you’re always ahead with cash flow planning for ATO and superannuation liabilities.
